MINISTRY OF LANDS GUIDELINES

 
Section 3 (1) of the Lands Act 1995 (Cap 184 of the Laws of Zambia) whereby all land in Zambia is vested absolutely in the Republican President and is held by him in perpetuity for and on behalf of the people of Zambia.
  Section 3 (i) of the Lands and Deeds Registry Act CAP 185 of the Laws of Zambia, provides for establishment of the Registry of Deeds by the Minister responsible for land. Currently, there are two registries.
 

 

The Lands Tribunal was established under Cap 184 Section 20 of the Lands Act of 1995.The main objective of establishing the Tribunal was to give public a fast-track method of resolving land disputes.

  The Land Survey Act Cap 188 of the Laws of Zambia, provides for the manner in which land surveys are carried out and diagrams and plans connected , provides for the protection of survey beacons and other survey marks.
