The Photogrammetry section is responsible for Planning and execution of Aerial Photography missions.
This involves the careful selection of the extents of the area of interest to be overflown and determination of resolution of Data capture based on the use of the final products.
The Products include
- Aerial Photo contact prints.
- O
rthophoto Maps.
Topographic Line Maps.
Largescale Township Mapping.
The Section has Seven (7) conventional Stereoplotters that are used in the Production of Topographic line Maps.
This year (2007) new equipment consisting of a Photogrammetric Scanner and Two Digital Photogrammetric Workstations have been procured.
This means that it will now be possible to carry out the Aerial Photography using a Digital camera and consequently process other by-Products in digital form.
Products will include
- Digital Aerial Photography.
- Digital Terrain models.
- Digital Orthophotos.
The Photogrammetry section has a workplace of Seven (7) highly qualified photogrammetrists.
